Criccieth is centrally located for exploring the beautiful area of Snowdonia. The splendid Portmeirion Italianate Village (the setting for the 60’s TV series The Prisoner) is 10 minutes away and, within easy reach, there is a choice of wonderful sandy beaches and excellent shopping.

Go-karting; paintballing; quad-biking; walking, climbing, surfing, hiking, tennis, squash, horse-riding, fishing and sailing are all provided locally. There are five golf courses within a 30 minute drive including Royal St David's Golf Club at Harlech

For the railway enthusiast there are numerous narrow gauge railways within a 20 mile radius including the famous Ffestiniog Railway at Porthmadog.
